Image HP has just launched a new mini notebook targeted at business professionals and youths with a mobile lifestyle. The notebook, called the HP 2133 Mini-Note PC is also known as the HP Mini and it is available at a starting price of RM 2, 299. This venture marks the first time HP has produced a product in the mini notebook category.

The HP Mini measures just a tiny 27 x 255 x 165 mm. The Mini also has WiFi and 64 GB solid-state drive (SSD).

Compared to other ultraportables, the HP Mini has one of the largest screens and RAMs (up to 2 GB). The Malaysian version operates on either Windows Vista Home Basic or Business. It has a VIA C7 processor of 1 to 1.6 GHz. HP did not deny that HP Minis operating on SUSE Linux might be introduced in future specially for the corporate market. HP offers two battery solutions; 3-cell for reduced weight and 6-cell which can last up to 4 hours.
