All good things had to come to an end eventually. Came May 17, the BlogMobbers, Samsung Mobile and Mobile World got together for the winners announcement and more importantly, some socializing and good food. The get-together was held at Izzi KL and each one waited anxiously to find out if they are the lucky ones to get to keep their phone. But what they didn’t know is that Samsung had some extra surprises in store for the BlogMobbers. The closing event kicked off with a short presentation which had everyone in stitches. Just to recap, there are several contests running within the BlogMob program. The bloggers stood to win phones for the highest site traffic and for the best overall postings on their blogs. There is also a ‘Show your phone to the most’ contest where the BlogMobber who have the highest count will win. The presentation showed some of the highlights from the 16 blogs. And there were plenty to choose from. We really recommend that you visit each of the 16 blogs to see what they did with their Samsung phones. Then came the announcement that made everyone even happier. Instead of just three phones, Samsung was going to give away an extra phone for the best overall postings and seven cool Bluetooth headsets for those who put in extra effort for the past one month. Mobile World also made sure that no one walked home empty handed as we also gave away 6 months free subscription to Mobile World magazine to those who didn’t win anything. To add to our booty of prizes, Lydia Teh donated a copy each of her award-winning books, Life’s Like That and Honk! If You’re Malaysian. Besides that, there was good food and great company to keep everyone in high spirits. The lucky few To keep the suspense a little longer, we decided to give away the Bluetooth headsets first and the chosen few were Jason Lioh, Amy Lai, John Ling, Visithra Manikam, David Cheong, Mohammad Norizwan and Jazlin Ernida. Sadly this also meant that they lost a shot at the phones. Sorry guys. The winner of the highest site traffic category went to Vincent Chow, who appeared in awe that his site beat everyone. He himself could not believe it but we assured him that the phone is his for the keeping. ‘Show your phone to the most’ contest was a tight race and on Fri the entire MW team was mobilised to count the pictures over and over again. It didn’t help that our Internet connection was problematic on that day and some of the blogs were heavy with hi res images. However at the end of the day Ellie Chee proudly took the crown home with a total body count of over 300! Taking pictures seem second nature to her as she took pictures of herself and others throughout the event. Lastly the two best overall blog postings went to Ng Jun Yan and Lydie Teh. Jun Yan who dubbed himself Phone Lover stayed true to his namesake as he came up with a whopping 29 posts about the phone. And that, my friends, totalled more than 30 pages of printout. Hmm, maybe we should rope him in as one of our phone reviewers. Lydia, the most tech-challenged of all, also put in great effort to put the phone into maximum use. Of course her dear children gave her a helping hand and her way with words won half the battle. Now she can duly chuck that old phone of hers out and own the best phone in her family. How about that for a desperate writing housewife? We also saw some reluctant faces as we went around collecting the phones back since of course nobody wanted to part with the Samsung phones that they came to know and use extensively for a month. In addition Norizwan and his team of bboys put on a great show for us just before dinner. They managed to make the best out of the limited space without knocking over our buffet table and drinks. They showed us some pretty nifty moves and body contortions that you will only see on MTV. Did anyone upload the video to YouTube? Thanks, Norizwan! Samsung and the MW team loves you. With the formalities over and done with, it was time to eat and mingle. It was a Saturday night well spent. For more pictures and BlogMob info, drop by our BlogMobbers’ blogs. Only one more day till they have to give up their phones, mwahaha! Now Jason tells us what he likes most about the Samsung SGH-i550. Amy went to the Marie Digby showcase yesterday. But she didn’t get a photo of the apparently popular singer (there were so many people there!). Instead, she got photos of the fans. With the Samsung phone. Well, we all have to make sacrifices. Like they always say, no pain, no gain. Not to be outdone by the rest, Kugan has also blogged about the Samsung SGH-i450’s connectivity, camera, and other functions. See what this phone enthusiast thinks about the phone. |

With the competition almost ending, most of the BlogMobbers are now desperately posting pictures and reviews. After more than a week of work-related posts, Kugan has decided to give his review of the Samsung SGH-i450. Lydia and Jun Yan think they’ve blogged about everything there is to blog about on their phones, so they’ve summarised its plus points. Meanwhile, in all the craze to photograph others with his phone, John finally realises that he hasn’t taken a picture of himself with his Samsung i450. How could he have forgotten? He’s only got a few more days with the thing. Visithra shares a video taken with the Samsung SGH-i450. Bad quality, she claims, due to her mad skillz. Don't see, don't know. |

The competition is heating up! In just two days, somebody accumulated well over 100 faces! But somebody else isn’t feeling the heat at all. Will this bunny be a-nappin’? At a rave, Amy takes her chances and snapped pictures of complete strangers with her Samsung i450. Lucky her, no one turned wild. There was one half-naked guy and a girl wearing a real skimpy top piece, though. Read this entry about a day in the life of a person using the Samsung SGH i550. Find out what it’s mostly used for. |

These days GPS comes with most high-end phones, and is a sought-after feature by many urbanites. But is it really for you? Not if you’re a woman. Or so Lydia argued. If you want to know how to use GPS on a Samsung phone, head on over to Jason’s blog to read an in-depth step-by-step guide. And if you happen to own a Samsung i550, read Jun Yan’s handy tips and tricks on how to use the phone. He also recommended a few games to try. Jolene shows off the performance of the Samsung i550’s camera. She’s also posted a guide on how to use the phone’s WiFi function. There are lots of pictures and feedback from her, so go read her blog if you want to know more about the phone’s performance. |

Mother's Day has come and gone. Only one person blogged about it, though. How sad is that?! The competition heats up as these three accumulate more pictures: Ellie seems dead-set on being the winner for showing her Samsung i550 to the most people. Throughout the weekend of pre-Mother's Day and Mother's Day celebrations, she's been busy snapping away. Norizwan makes a double-step to catch up with Ellie. He hasn't blogged in a while now, and this is his first entry since 26 April. It's still not too late, dude, you're almost surpassing Jolene. Jazlin snaps 33 people in a single day. That's one of the highest records. This is one determined girl. Where on earth did she meet all those people? |

…which could explain why the BlogMobbers are a bit quiet. But it is ok, we can still enjoy the Phone Lover ’s trip around the world. All he needed was his i550, WiFi and Google Map. ; ) And we also have a couple of Samsung SGH i550 advertisements done – courtesy of David.

Creativity! Yes, that is how we like our cup of tea – with a dash of creativity. The BlogMobbers have been using unconventional ways to present their Samsungs. John had a bright idea; to show his i450 to his friend through webcam on his MSN. Check it out here . While John showed off his i450, Jason brought his i550 to Kluang to test out the phone’s GPS system and Visithra made a video out of the pictures she took with her i450. Oh, David ’s i550 shared the limelight with some hip hop artistes. |

The blogs are a bit empty… Come on, BlogMobbers! Go tell the world how great your phones are. Snap more pictures! Jun Yan proves that the Samsung i550w is not a phone exclusively for guys. Watch how his phone got a makeover from his girlfriend and transformed into a “girl phone.” Meanwhile, Ellie wastes no time in taking more photos. She’s already got 3 people last night. Can the rest of the contestants catch up with her? What’s so special about Lydia’s Samsung SGH i550 compared to her eldest child’s brand new Sony Ericsson K530i? Find out here . |

If you haven’t realize how cool the i450 looks rocking the gold theme and a Boeing 737 wall paper, Vincent did a great job by posting some of it on his blog. He also showcased some of the phone’s applications including Google Maps, music player, text messaging and a game. The Phone Lover also posted up some screenshots of the phone which is a continuation of his previous post. Mostly he talked about some PIM and Office features. If you want to know how to get those screenshots, drop them a note and ask them for a short tutorial. |

It has been a slow week for our BlogMobbers but we found Lydia ’s posting to be rib tickling. She confessed that she has always been a technophobe and even displayed her chunky (read: ancient) phone side by side with the i550. While Lydia entertained us with words, Jazlin took an opportunity to increase her head count. Go have a look. |

If you are one of those technophobes who can’t figure out how to latch on WiFi, it’s a good idea to drop by here . The Phone Lover has done a comprehensive review of the WiFi feature in his latest Samsung BlogMob post. It would be a shame if you didn’t fully utilise the WiFi feature because free WiFi is easily available. Now, what about feasting your eyes on a fashion show? Amy was lucky enough to have the camera phone with her when she accidentally found out about the show. For those who haven’t done much, there is still slightly more than two weeks for you to play catch up. C’mon get your backs into it! |

KL was in a state of controlled chaos last Mon because of the historical Olympic Torch Relay. One of our BlogMobbers was there to witness the event and toured Samsung’s booth in KLCC too. He also took the opportunity to ask a few people to pose with the i450. One of them is a very pretty girl working in the Samsung booth. Check out his entry for more pics. |

The last we checked there were several BlogMobbers who made good progress and some lagging behind. After some counting today, some took a sprint ahead. The top two leaders haven't changed yet but Jolene chalked up another 6 to make her total count to 90. You may have noticed that Norizwan was at zero earlier and lo and behold! He has unveiled to us 60 faces on his blog. Way to go! We hope he keeps his fast pace to grab pole position. It looks like he got a lot of help from his buddies and a group of cool UPM staff. David also doubled his numbers from 14 to 30. Good job! He was out at a mini blogger meet up in Cineleisure (we weren't invited, boo!). Naturally he made the bloggers camwhore with his Samsung phone. Quick thinking, indeed. |

It is looking like the race to win the coveted Samsung phones are getting hot with some of our bloggers picking up the pace. However there are some that might be taking their competition a little too easy. For leader Jolene, she just lost her pole position to Ellie . Ellie worked really hard, going back to her high school and showed the phone to her juniors. Now her body count is 188! Others have been equally hardworking especially Amy who nearly tripled her count in four days. Kudos! But could Vincent , Visithra and Norizwan have a secret game plan that they have yet to tell us? Nicked from Ellie |

We take a quick snoop around three blogs and find that Lydia Teh had discovered the joys of voice recording and Bluetooth technology when she took the Samsung i550 along to Sunday School. And we have a message for Kamkuey who's depresed because others have shown the phone to more people: ‘Sedikit sedikit, lama lama jadi bukit!’ Don’t give up! There are a lot more days to catch up with the front runners. And we don't want you to stop because your pictures are gorgeous, man. We so love them!! One of the Blogmobbers appears to have had a brainwave: He’s getting others involved in the contests! Will his strategy succeed? |
