research firm Berg Insight, more than 100 million mobile subscribers in Europe will use location-based services by 2012.
According to PC World, Japan's dominant
cellular carrier, NTT DoCoMo saw its market share drop to below 50
percent last month for the first time in almost 10 years.
NTT DoCoMo on last week announced that
it has recorded a downlink transmission rate of 250Mbps over a
high-speed wireless network in an outdoor test of an experimental
Super 3G system for mobile networks.
