Image Nokia has launched two budget phones for the masses. The Nokia 1209 is a successor to the Nokia 1200 and is upgraded to a colour screen. It supports up to 80 languages and five separate phonebooks each with up to 200 individual entries.

Image The Nokia 7900 Crystal Prism, as it is called, is aimed at fashion savvy ladies. Unfortunately for Nokia, the unique designs of previous Prism phones did not go well with buyers and this will probably be no different. However, you have to agree that the colour will probably make the ladies go ‘ooooooooh’.

Image Recently at MacWorld, Steve Jobs announced five tantalising applications for the iPOd Touch. However they were not free and users would need to dig into their pockets for USD19.95. The real bummer for mst Asians is that those applications are only available through iTunes.

Image iRiver, the popular PMP manufacturer, is doing an Apple and have announced plans of releasing their own cell phone. Pictures show it looking strikingly similar to the iPhone. A prototype was on display at CES 2008.

Image What is known in the US as the CDMA-enabled LG Venus VX8800 will soon have a GSM version dubbed as LG KF600. Initially the phone is slated for China, Mexico, Brazil and Turkey (interesting choices) but it will soon be made available worldwide.
