The biggest draw of the phone is the 8
megapixel auto focus camera with face recognition, smile and blink recognition,
auto panorama mode and geotagging. However much to our surprise, there is no
xenon flash, only the dual LED flash. As for video recording, it is able to
produce videos in VGA resolution at 30fps. It will also record in QVGA at
120fps for its slow motion feature.
Apart from the camera, the INNOV8 is also a
Symbian-based smartphone running on version 9.3 with S60 3rd edition Feature
Pack 2. Other high end features include built in accelerometer, quadband GSM, dual
band HSDPA 7.2Mbps, WiFi and a 2.8 inch 16M colour QVGA display.
Much like the Omnia, it has an 8GB and a
16GB version, both equipped with a microSD card slot (up to 8GB). It has a
dedicated 3D graphics accelerator with 128MB RAM. The device is also powered by
the same battery used in G810.
To support geotagging, the device has a GPS
receiver with A-GPS support but no news about any onboard navigation service or
apps. Other features include DivX support, USB 2.0, stereo Bluetooth, FM radio
with RDS and instant messaging.
