The third 3G operator in this country today announced that it now has more than 100,000 subscribers, consisting of subscribers from U Mobile’s prepaid, postpaid and Surf with U plans

U Mobile first launched its mobile broadband service in March 2008. In April, they introduced its first postpaid plan followed by a prepaid plan earlier this month.

“We are grateful that consumers have much confidence with U Mobile in a short time span. This is an achievement that we are all very happy with and we have our customers to thank. This achievement is also testament to the appeal of per-second billing to our customers who are looking at more ways in which they can save especially during the times of rising cost,” said Mr. Oh Kwang-Jin, Chief Executive Office of U Mobile Sdn Bhd.

Currently, U Mobile is the only operator in the country offering its prepaid starter packs at no cost.
