Neustar signs mobile messaging service with StarHub

NeuStar, Inc announced that it has been selected by StarHub in Singapore to launch a new mobile instant messaging service to its customers.

NeuStar's market leading mobile IM suite was the chosen platform to launch its new messaging service “Chat Anyway” and is the first operator in Asia to launch both Windows Live Messenger and Yahoo! Messenger on one multi-community client for a mobile phone.

Text messaging is hugely popular and we want to help StarHub build on the success of SMS and benefit from the instant messaging phenomenon that is driving new revenues and value to our customers around the world. We at NeuStar are delighted to add them to the growing number of operators launching innovative mobile IM services."

The NeuStar application works on most of the mobile phones out there and StarHub customers pays a flat fee monthly to use the IM service.

NeuStar signed a similar partnership with mobile operator 3 in Indonesia last month. NeuStar's messaging service has presence in over 20 countries with 35 different operators.

According to a reliable source, NeuStar is expected to launch its mobile messaging service in Malaysia with one of the telco in Malaysia.
