The new plans are DG20, DG50, DG150. These plans offer a flat call rate for as low as RM0.10 per minute and RM0.10 per SMS to any domestic number. The highest plan, called DG250 offers free voice calls and SMS to any networks in Malaysia.

DiGi’s Chief Commercial Officer Tom Schnitker(pict.) said that DiGi is now offering more postpaid plans to cater to different type of users.

“Our postpaid segment has been under-represented (referring to their previous One Plan). With the new plans, our value proposition will be expanded,” he said.

Each plan has a monthly fee. For an example, the DG20 has a monthly fee of RM20. According to DiGi, the DG250 is the first plan in Malaysia to offer free domestic calls and SMS.

Currently, on an average basis, a DiGi postpaid customer spends about RM89 a month including the usage of voice, data and value added services. The current new postpaid plans launched by DiGi are focused on voice and SMS. Users need to pay additional for services such as data and value added services on top of their monthly fee.

About 15% or 775,172 of DiGi subscribers are postpaid users. Tom said that DiGi hope to launch DiGi 3G services by year end or by early 2009.
