Verizon Wireless and Nokia are planning to release a mobile phone in conjunction with the release of the upcoming superhero film, The Dark Knight. The sequel to 2005’s Batman Begins will debut in American cinemas July 18. The Nokia 6205 The Dark Knight edition can only be purchased online at www.verizonwireless.com from June 15 onwards.

The clamshell phone sports all the specs of the original Nokia 6205 – 58 MB internal memory, Bluetooth, touch-sensitive music playback keys, a 2 inch screen, a microSD card slot, 1.3 megapixel camera with flash, GPS and EV-DO.

Pre-loaded content include wallpapers, ringtones, animated screensavers and a movie trailer. Not forgetting diehard Batman fans, the retail box also contains a Joker playing card with a link and code to FightForGothamCity.com, where one can play games and win more movie-related goodies.
