Jehan & Jue
- MW Team
Image With love in the air this month, MW tracked down one of the most popular local celebrity couple, Jehan Miskin and Jue Aziz to spill some Valentine beans and gadget love.

What kind of phone do you own?
Jehan: You can’t believe what phone I’m using. This Sony Ericsson K320i is a transitional phone until I find a tough smartphone.
Jue: I think I have at least three phones at any one time. I just love getting new phones.

Tell us a bit about your phone history.
Je: I have been a PDA phone user since the early Palm days and I have used an O2, iPAQs and so on but after a year they tend to break down. To go with my phone now, I still have a Palm PDA for contacts and as an organizer.
Jue: I’m like a collector of phones. I love phones that have characters of their own. Right now I’m using a HTC Touch White Edition, a MOTOMING and a Motorola RAZR V3i.

Which phone are you eyeing next?
Je: I’m waiting for a durable BlackBerry and an iPhone.
Jue: The other day going phone shopping with him I saw a really nice Samsung SGH F500. I like the unique design.

Any mishaps happened to any of your phones?

Je: Like I said most of my phones don’t last. I gave her a Nokia N95 but it was stolen after a month.
Jue: I’m really unlucky. I’ve also had a Motorola RAZR V3i and an O2 Xda Atom Mini stolen.

How important is your mobile phone?
Je: We used it as our organizers and also to keep in contact with family and friends. I usually backup my contacts on a computer so no worries there.
Jue: He loves making lists of everything so you can imagine how much he uses the phone. As for me it serves as a communication tool for personal and business reasons.

Image Are you a talk-for-hours or an SMS person?
Jue: As much as we love talking to each other, on sets we cannot have our phones with us so SMS is a better choice to keep each other updated. We can also reply when we get off the set.

What other gadgets do you own?

Je: We both have Sony PSPs. Hers is pink while mine is black. We also have a PS2 as well.
Jue: I named my PSP Amour and his Buddy (laughs). He also gave me an iPod for Valentines.

Are you into mobile games?
Je: We are into gaming whether on the PSP or PS2. We play a few dual mode games together whenever we have time.

What are your favourite games?

Je: DISGAE, Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks, Obscure, Joan De Arc, Warhammer Squad Command and so on.
Jue: For me I like The Sims, Castaway and Bowling.

Do you give out your mobile numbers to eager fans?
Je: I appreciate my fans for liking my work and being supportive but giving out mobile numbers is a no-no.
Jue: Me too. Sometimes it is too dangerous.

Do you have stalker fans?
Je: We both have our fair share of that. Usually I get calls of giggling girls in the middle of the night and they would just hang up. There was a phone stalker which went on for about six months until I screamed at her and threatened to call the police.
Jue: Mine are always guys who call to say obscene things but I had one stalker who kept calling and breathes heavily into the phone. One day I just pass the phone over to Jehan and he started yelling at him and the stalker immediately hung up. After a few more times he stopped.

Have you been scammed via SMS?

Je: Well someone called to tell me I won some money and told me to bank in some ‘deposit’ for them. For a split second I thought that it could be true, then again, nah.
Jue: Anything that sounds too good to be true, probably is.

Do you accessorize your phone?

Je: Nope I like it just as it is.
Jue: I don’t too. Don’t want to scratch the phones.

How many contacts do you have in your phone?
Je: It must be more than 1500 contacts.
Jue: I haven’t been keeping track but I think it’s more than 1500 too.

Image With conflicting schedules, how do you keep up with each other?

Je: Most importantly for us is to spend time with each other and our families. We often send SMSes to each other sometimes just to say hi or keep each other updated.
Jue: Although we don’t often have movie projects together, we keep in touch via the phone and also time with each other.

Describe each other.
Je: She’s beautiful, friendly, cheerful, into details, a fantastic cook and manja.
Jue: He’s responsible, friendly, loving, hardworking, protective and of course manja too!

What are your current projects?
Je: Anak Halal and Nana Tanjung 2 just came out and have been doing well. I’m also in a martial arts telemovie and I am training in wushu for it. Other than that I’m in Frontpage for which we shot the pilot already. It is a journalistic TV series and each episode is based on a true crime.
Jue: I get to be in Impak Maksima, the series, another TV series Dilema Wanita and a horror telemovie known as Residen. We both are also in an 8TV series Cheerleaders which is loosely based on High School Musical.

Do you have a website?
Je: I used to have a Friendster account but it got swamped with fans. I closed it but someone is impersonating me in Friendster and MySpace. Sometimes it is weird that my real friends asking why I didn’t reply their messages.
Jue: I don’t have an online presence now but someone claims to be me on MySpace so if you receive any messages from them, it is not me.

What do you look forward to do in the future?

Jue: We both look forward to start a business together because being an actor doesn’t last long. Soon there will be someone to replace us so we want to be prepared as well.
Je: As they say glamour is good for business but not for personal lives.

Lastly, how do you unwind after a long day at work?
Je: I go to the gym, swimming, hanging out with family and friends and of course getting her to cook.
Jue: We would watch movies, play games and pool as well as going to the gym.
