Image You have seen her on TV and on the silver screen as a feministic Ratu Futsal in Gol & Gincu, both the series and the full length movie. Prior to that the sassy (no pun intended) actress has been earning her chops in hosting and as a writer. MW chats with the petite star about her mobile phones and everything else that matters.

What phone do you own?
I have a Nokia L’Amour 7390 and a Nokia 9300 Communicator.

How do you find them?
I like them. The Communicator is my PDA and I can’t do without my phones. But sometimes it gets too much and I switch them off.

Which phone has caught your eye lately?
Ever since I got myself a Macbook, I became obsessed with all things Apple. My dream phone now would be the iPhone. It can sync with my laptop and do so many things. I just can’t wait for it.

What gadgets do you carry all the time?

My phones, a Macbook and a camera.

What songs do you have as ring tones?
The songs change all the time. Usually my friends and sister will send me songs via Bluetooth. I find Bluetooth to be an amazing technology and I just love it.

What else do you do with Bluetooth?
I often exchange pictures, music and videos. Besides it is much easier and faster than sending email and the best part is that it is free.

How many contacts do you have in your phone book? Image
Oh gosh! I think it is more than 1500. The Communicator is useful for storing so many contacts.

Are you into mobile downloads?

Actually I am downloadable (laughs). I’m not joking. You will be able to find me soon on a series known as Domain on Maxis. You will see me being dressed up as different mythical characters. There are wallpapers and games as well.

What kind of characters?
Characters like Bawang Putih, Bawang Merah, pontianak, Puteri Gunung Ledang and many more. It was cool and fun.

Do you give out your mobile numbers to eager fans?
No, sorry guys. I know some celebs keep a prepaid number for fans though.

On average how many SMS do you send a day?
I’m not really into SMS except to send instructions and facts for people to keep note. It’s much faster to just call so you can consider me the talking type.

Do you MMS?
Not really. I only MMS occasionally to friends who are overseas.

What about 3G?
I use it occasionally especially when I miss my husband; I’ll video call him then. But I hardly use it to surf the Net because I bring my notebook around so I just use WiFi.

Tell us a bit about your online presence.
I am addicted to Facebook just like everyone else. Besides that I have a MySpace page for my fans as well. But I haven’t updated my blog for a long time.

If you were not in the entertainment industry, what would you be doing?
I always wanted to be a travel journalist but ultimately a businesswoman which I’m slowly moving into.

Tell us about that?
I’m starting a business with Ashraf Sinclair which will see me producing and him directing TV shows. I have also started to write scripts. I am developing one already.

How does the story go?
It is about a band with a female lead singer and their struggles to make it.

What type of roles you would like to play?
It is difficult to describe but anything like Kate Hudson in Almost Famous, Meryl Streep in Death Becomes Her and Cameron Diaz in Any Given Sunday would be fantastic. I love these movies so much.

What is your typical day like?
Each day is different. Sometimes I’m out doing shoots or I can be doing interviews, acting, emcee-ing, hosting or a whole load of other things. If I’m not doing something I’ll go crazy.

How do you unwind after work?
Have a hot cup of tea, hit the gym, chill and just relax at home.
