Dual-SIM card phones are nothing
new. Just that back then they never
connected faster than GSM. To redress
this, Singaporean Verzio has come up with their own which connects both SIMs to
3G. And this is the first in the world.
Previous other models could only
standby in one or the other mode, meaning you’d have to choose between the SIMs
to utilize. Whereas this phone, called
Duplii, permits you to on both SIMs and in two modes at the same time. What’s more, you can even switch from one
mode to the other, even for calls from both SIMs.
The Duplii possesses all the
usual features you’d find in most any other models: 2MP camera, card slot and
music and video player. The display is TFT
and QVGA resolution, and big enough at 2.2 inches.
For users running only GPRS or
EDGE, Verzio offers their Twinn, also dual-SIM.
And this has also garnered the honour as the world’s first. Its display is also 2.2 inches but only QCIF
TFT, and the camera resolution is lower, at 1.3 MP.
