Redtone becomes an MVNO, targeting the Enterprise postpaid segment Print E-mail

ImageRedtone International Berhad has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Celcom (M) Berhad to become a Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO).

Through the five year partnership, REDtone’s wholly-owned subsidiary REDtone Mobile Services Sdn Bhd will utilize Celcom’s 2G and 3G network to offer mobile phone services including SMS, MMS, GPRS, and 3G to enterprise customer within the postpaid segment, marketed under the REDtone brand.

“Our smart partnership with Celcom which marks the first time that we are collaborating with a tier-1 telco underscores the importance that REDtone is placing in building a working relationship with Celcom and tier-1 telcos” says REDtone Group Managing Director Wei Chuan Beng.

“Extending our service to include Data, Broadband, and Mobile will enable us to tap into the vast potential of these growth areas and to help enhance our revenue stream” he added.

REDtone is expected to launch its MVNO services in the first quarter next year.
