After winning the Best Male Model at KL Fashion Week 2005, his career took off in all directions which lead him to branch out to TV, hosting and of course representing more brands. A much sought after model in Malaysia, Mobile World slows him down and had a hearty chat.

What kind of phone do you own?
A MOTOSLVR L7 RED phone.

Do you still like it?
Yes I do, it’s my favourite colour and it reminds me that I have a good heart (laughs).

Which phone are you eyeing next?
Not sure though, I’m not really a tech guy. More of a ‘follow the mood’ kind of guy, so if I see one I like, that would be the one.

Any mishaps happened to any of your phones?
Oh yeah, lost so many phones. Just plain carelessness.

How important is your mobile phone?
It’s very important to me as to everyone else in this century, I guess.

Are you into mobile games?
No. I don’t even own a Playstation.

What other gadgets do you own?
Not much, a phone and a computer.

Do you give out your mobile numbers to eager fans?
Can I give my friend’s number instead? Usually I don’t just give my
number out to anyone. But if it is relevant then why not?

Tell us a bit about your work with the MOTORED campaign.
It’s a noble project to raise funds for people infected with HIV in Africa. The other Ambassadors and I would help create awareness to the public that there are people in need of help. Check out http://malaysia.motorola.com/red/. There will be more information there. Each time a RED phone is purchased, part of the profits will go to the RED foundation.

How is it different from your previous works?
This one is for charity. Others are for passion and money. OK, isn’t
much of a difference. I enjoy working with people especially in the entertainment industry

What are your plans for the rest of the year?
Well, I would like to be shooting a couple of movies and TV series. Hopefully be hosting again and constantly improving what I’m doing.

How do you feel being a sex symbol?
Am I? Are you sure you didn’t get the wrong guy? I’m still stunned by the compliment. Well, I take it as a compliment as I must have something ‘right’ to be a sex symbol, right? No? Yes? Don’t answer that.



Any experiences with stalkers?
Yeah I had a couple. One stalked me all the way to the men’s room and try to take a peek of my ‘asset’. Others are just not as memorable.

What is the weirdest encounter you had with a fan?
Nothing really, most of them are in fact very friendly and nice, some extremely nice. =p

Is there anything else you are currently engaged in?
Nothing extraordinary yet.

What do you look forward to do in the future?
Building wealth, building my career and having a good soul.

Let’s talk about Internet lifestyle for a while. Are you a keen user?
Yeah, I do go online if that’s what you mean. So checking my fan mails occasionally, my emails and retrieving information of the stock market, football, tennis, and golf. I use the Internet almost everyday, but just about 15 minutes per check every time.

What do you think about the new media, e.g. blogs, Youtube and such?
Honestly I don’t know what to think of it. I guess it’s an evolution of the media? People can now make money out of their blog! It definitely helps a lot in marketing a product, even a person. Perhaps a step closer to freedom of speech?

Lastly, how do you unwind after a long day at work?
It depends how I feel, sometimes I go to the gym for a workout, sometimes I play footie with some friends, while most of the time I watch TV and go to bed.
