The Mobility Carnival 2007 is on track to be held on the podium of Low Yat Plaza, Kuala Lumpur, from 10am to 9.30pm daily from 5 to 11 March, 2007.
Unlike reported here earlier, it will not attempt to be entered into the Malaysia Book of Records for the Longest & Largest PDA Gathering.
Jointly organized by local personal digital assistant (PDA) user-group PDACrafters.com (www.pdacrafters.com) and mobile computing retailer The Gadgets Shop (DiGi Specialised Store), with the support of DiGi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd, Mobility Carnival will feature many interesting activities for mobile enthusiasts and be a showcase of products and solutions by, local and foreign software developers on Windows Mobile, Symbian and Palm OS platforms, together with several major PDA hardware distributors.
As there will be no stage setup all training, seminars and workshops will be held in The Gadgets Shop's training room.
Among companies participating, TenGO, a Windows Mobile-based software supplier from Singapore will offer discounts and several licences for distribution of their TenGO software to the audience. StellarNet, a Malaysian Symbian OS-based software supplier will offer discounts and several licences for distribution of their softwares to the audience.
Mobile-News which supplies Windows Mobile-based applications will offer several licences of their applications for distribution to the audience.
Mobile World Magazine will offer free back-issue of their Mobile World magazines and conduct a post-event write-up of the Carnival.
In addition, i-Symbian (www.i-symbian.com) a local Symbian user group will conduct workshops on Symbian-based phones on alternate days.
The event aims to raise public awareness in the wide usability of PDAs and notebook PCs, their use for Internet access on the go using DiGi’s HighSpeed Mobile EDGE network, complemented by its Wi-Fi service.
