MW: How long have you been in show business?
I have been in this line as far back as I can remember. I think I was five years old when I first acted in a show.

MW: How did you get involved at such a young age?
I come from a show business family. My aunt was an actress and there were others too.

MW: And now the big question everybody would want an answer to…are you an actress or a singer?
Well I was part of a singing group called GIM (Girls in Music) and I find singing to be relatively more relaxing than acting. But having said that, acting is a fulfilling art. So I have to say, I am an actress.

What can you share about your latest movie, Susuk.
It’s going to be a real thriller movie. Filming Susuk was a new experience for me.

But you have been acting before. What’s so different about Susuk?
I am used to shooting Malay films with totally Malay casts and crew. Susuk has a multi racial cast and team. I benefited from the experience and the directors were very helpful.

Directors? There was more than one director?
Yes. Susuk had two directors: Naeim Ghalili and Amir Muhammad. Both were a pleasure to work with.

What role do you play in Susuk?
I am an innocent nurse that slowly turns into an egoistic person. This was different from my normal roles. To top it off, Susuk is a supernatural thriller so make sure you don’t miss it.

Is the movie finished?
Yes. They are in post production now, editing it.

What phone are you using now?
You’re not going to believe this but I am crazy about phones. You could say I am a collector.

A collector of all phones?
Not really, I am mainly in love with Nokia phones. I end up buying most of their new models. Right now, I have the N70, N71 and the Communicator. I also got a Motorola V3.

That’s a serious collection you got there. What makes you decide to get a particular phone?
I like the latest technologies and ease of use. If it looks good, that would be great too.

Now that Susuk is finished, what are your plans?
I am off on a holiday. I’ll be in Indonesia and then Dubai. I will also help out in some family business ventures.


What kind of ventures?
My niece is doing some business in Indonesia. My elder sister is also in business. She is into prepaid cards and SMS business.

What is your role in these businesses?
I am the ambassador for their products and help promote them.

Do you have an MP3 player?
No, I keep my music in my phone.

What else do you do in your phone?
I try to make full use of the phone. I have music in my phone. I SMS a lot and also send out MMS messages.

How much music have you got in your phone?
I have lots of stuff including music. Believe it or not, I have a 1GB memory card for my phone.

Have you used 3G?
I have 3G and I do use it occasionally but I haven’t become a serious user.

When are you going to add to your phone collection?
The moment a hot new phone comes, I’m going to grab it. I just can’t help myself.
