Devindar Visvalingam has been enjoying her work at Celcom. She’s been there for a year and a half now and just loves the organisation.

“I can feel the energy and vibrancy in Celcom and this makes me want to do my best there too,” she says. This has been especially so since the new CEO took over. Shazalli and our other top management has revitalised Celcom and I am proud to work here,” she adds.

She finds her job challenging and fun. But she is quick to deny the popular belief that public relations is a glamorous occupation. “Yes; there is that glamour of events and publicity, but that’s a small part of my work. People don’t see the hidden part which is lots and lots of hard work and long office hours.”

Despite working in a high tech environment, Davinder is not into mobile gadgets herself. She totes an O2 Atom which is mainly used for work. I believe modern communication tools should be used to help us work better.” After work, she spends the remaining few hours relaxing at home. And after many hours of PC use in the office, she does not like to go on the Internet much at home. “Except for keeping in touch with friends who live overseas…”
