Celcom launches Whatchuwant campaign

Launched on 30 April, Whatchuwant has personalized offers and exclusive deals and savings on voice, SMS, mobile internet and more plus earn a chance to get prizes.

Whatchuwant is open to all Celcom postpaid and prepaid customers excluding Celcom Biz customers. They can subscribe to any one of the Whatchuwant 6 packs, including Talk pack, Text pack, Fun Pack, Surf pack, Video pack and MMS pack.

To subscribe to a pack or to select a prize of the week, customers simply need to dial *128# from their mobile phones to access the Whatchuwant menu.

Or  SMS by sending PACK to 22188 or select a prize of the week by sending WCW to 22188.

After subscribing to one of the personalised Packs, customers can select one of the weekly prizes and be in the running to walk away with it.

New prizes will be featured every week. The prizes range from free airtime, rebates, the latest handphones, laptops, cars and more.

In the first week of the Whatchuwant campaign, one Macbook Pro 13” laptop and one HP Envy 14” laptop were given away.

In the second week, eight Samsung Galaxy S II mobile phones and eight Samsung Galaxy Notes were given away to customers.

100 consolation prizes of either RM50 airtime or a RM50 postpaid bill rebate will be given out each week.

P1 halves broadband plans prices for limited time

Starting from May 11, for new subscribers, P1 is cutting its consumer broadband plans to half the original price.

New P1 subscribers might also win a Volkswagen Golf TSI and other prizes worth over RM180,000 as part of the “iPunya Buy & Win” contest.

New subscribers can opt for P1’s “Try Me Broadband Sale" plans like ForHome, ToGo and OnePlan at a promotional price for the first few months. 

The ForHome plan offers new subscribers 50% off the original price for the first four months. It comes with a fixed wireless broadband, instant service activation and 4G. 

The ToGo plan costs RM1.30 per day for all-day-all-night unlimited 4G speed and up to 10 GB of quota. 

The OnePlan has broadband on-the-go, at home and a phone line at RM93 for four months.

Housewife wins car in Celcom Airtime Share Campaign

A housewife from Kampung Debak Laut in Sarawak won the Celcom Airtime Share Campaign. 

21-year-old Afiza Binti Azmi drove home a Proton Saga Standard 1.3 FLX.

For five weeks the campaign has been presenting 35 Samsung Galaxy Tab 7 Plus every day to Celcom customers who shared airtime via their mobile phones with friends at least once a day. 

Celcom Airtime Share is a peer-to-peer solution for prepaid and postpaid customers to share their airtime from as low as RM1 with their friends on prepaid hassle free. 

The promotion runs from 5 February until 12 May. Customers can stand a chance to win LCD TV, DVD player, Blackberry mobile phone, bicycle and many more when they transfer airtime just 3 times in a week. 

To transfer airtime to family or friends, the customer just has to type “RM” and send SMS to “1

Prepaid customers can also request for airtime, from those on prepaid & postpaid lines by typing “RQ” and send SMS to “1

Customers can share airtime by dialing *133# and select “Local Airtime Transfer”. It was in 2004 when Celcom’s business partner, IDOTTV, introduced the SMS solution.

U Mobile rewards data to Broadband customers

U Mobile is giving away free 250MB data when customers opt for auto renewal subscription and auto debit services. 

U Mobile is rewarding prepaid broadband subscribers when they sign up for auto renewal on a monthly basis.

U Mobile will also reward both postpaid voice and broadband subscribers who sign up for auto debit billing services.

U Mobile broadband subscribers will get an additional 250MB data on top of their monthly quota.

Subcribers will get auto debit registration forms into April and May postpaid bills.

U Mobile launches HTC One X & One V

U Mobile has launched HTC One X & One V with postpaid plans

Subscribers can get either HTC device with a hybrid plan consisting of voice, SMS and data services from as low as RM28. The three plans come with free calls and free SMS to all operators’ networks.   The U28 plan, at only RM28 per month, comes with mobile Internet of up to 1 GB and 300 free SMS. 

The U58 plan at RM58 per month includes mobile Internet up to 2 GB and 300 minutes of free calls. 
The U88 plan offers mobile Internet up to 3 GB, 300 minutes of free calls and 300 free SMS. 
The HTC One X with Beats Audio is offered from as low as RM1,359. The HTC One V is offered from as low as RM389.
