RIM now has a local entity in Malaysia, for further developing its business within the country.Called Research In Motion Malaysia Sdn Bhd, this local entity will have carrier and distributor partners throughout Malaysia with sales and marketing support. The office is at Menara Milenium, Pusat Bandar Damansara, Kuala Lumpur.

Annamalai Muthu, Country Director for Malaysia and Brunei, will be leading the local team to support key carrier and distribution partners  and build the local team to support the growing brand presence in Malaysia.

Muthu said, “Establishing a local entity is a milestone for us and it is our way of showcasing the long-term commitment and investment we have lined up for Malaysia. We are excited of growing our team locally, whilst having the brand grow exponentially here in Malaysia. It is our aim to continue increasing accessibility for the BlackBerry brand across Malaysia.”
