IE 9 beta to beat competitors?

  • PDF

The latest Internet Explorer from Microsoft deceptively looks as simplified and light-weight as its competitors, particularly Google’s Chrome browser.

Like Chrome, the iE 9 beta has just an address bar and a few toolbars. And what’s more, the default has no menu and no status bar; not even a Favourites bar. Opening a new tab, you’d find links to your "most popular sites", for relaunching with just a click.

Google Instant for Mobile coming

  • PDF

No, Google is not marketing any sort of instant noodles.

Google has just launched their most innovative search engine yet, the Google Instant. I know, this instantly reminds some people of Maggie’s Instant Mee. But Google’s new Instant search cooks much faster than 2 minutes. Within seconds Google Instant starts searching as soon you begin typing in your query.

What Instant does is it anticipates your every key stroke, and delivers the results even before you finish keying in your entire query. It’s ready for Malaysian users who downloaded Google’s latest birthday Chrome browser. Just click on “Instant is on”, to activate.

Another bit of good news, this time for mobile users. Google says the mobile version of Instant would be ready by this fall, particularly for iPhones and Androids, so long as the phone can handle AJAX.
